Wecome to the blog of Art Haecker! In this blog I will look at the history of the bands of the Civil War. I will also talk about re-enactment bands, cds, publications, and published music. I look forward to more posts in the near future!
Thank you for welcoming me. Some of these songs, the solo parts that I have seen, that is, are very very hard. Do we have any sense of tempo? Since the north won the war, maybe the south was at a more leisurely tempo, and that's what gave the north the edge. If you could find some metronome markings or audio recordings from the war, that would be great.
By the way: did you know that there is a product called the "Vibrass"? You should really check it out. It will really spice up your embouchure.
